Seeing the Good, Day By Day

When I started to write formally, it was a new endeavor.  Writing was something I did in the day to day. Making lists, making lists for my lists, jotting creative ideas I wanted to try and writing my thoughts in journals and notebooks were some of the ways I wrote daily.  Researching how to start a site and the technical aspects of maintaining my site was a challenge. I realized that it was about the process and that it wasn’t an end goal. There would be new aspects to learn, things to change and things to keep.  It was fun, yet challenging in this new pursuit.

As we enter a new year and decade, goals are something that we all strive to achieve.  I haven’t been one to achieve goals in a certain time period at set times. I have lists of things I want to do and try to leave an open timeline of goals.  When I have tried to achieve a goal and it didn’t happen, discouragement would occur. Now, I have a list of ideas to try while having the perspective of they may occur at a certain time or they may happen at a later time.

“You don’t have to have it figured out to move forward” is one of my favorite quotes.  I have this quote displayed in my creating area. My friend Gale created this beautiful piece and the words resonate as I read them.  Many times, I believe I need to know every detail before trying something new. What I am learning, trying something new is part of the process and I don’t have to have it all figured out in my thinking or on my lists, to try to achieve goals.

I have tried many attempts in accomplishing new things that sometimes had the results I wanted and at other times I need to try again.  May we see the good in trying new things. May we not get wrapped up in the details as we move forward in the new year. Remember, “You don’t have to have it figured out to move forward.” Wishing you the best in the new year!

  2. Hi Mrs. B. “You Don’t Have to Have it Figured Out To Move Forward” is absolutely without doubt true. So many times in my 76 years moving forward and being open to what may come opened many doors and opportunities for new paths in my life. Some are teeny tiny, but always inspiring and thought provoking. Love your blog. I am sharing this quote with Kenna this week. She gets a kick out of it coming from you. Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family Mrs. C

    1. Thank you Mrs. C for your thoughtful and wise words. We have those moments of just trusting in the next step. My heart is filled with joy you send the quotes to Kenna. Much love to you! Robyn
